One of the perks of styling photo shoots is discovering new brands. Recently I was introduced to INJURY, a menswear and womenswear label launched in Sydney by Eugene Leung. The brand has been around since 2004 and is strong in prints and tailored pieces that are modern and futuristic.
For Autumn-Winter 2013, INJURY introduces a collection titled Resilience… a form of “Galactic Tailoring” incorporating futuristic elements and materials that can evolve and transform into different forms. I love the architectural seaming in all their jackets, which are heavily constructed, as well as the leather and fabric mixing throughout the collection. See more pictures from their look book after the jump and visit www.theinjury.com.au to learn more about this fresh brand! View More
Did you know that every holiday season some folks try to outdo their friends by wearing the ugliest Christmas sweaters? It true… they even have parties celebrating the horrendous seasonal fashion. Well, you won’t be seeing any of those styles on this blog, never!!! I’ve put together a few stylish sweaters that are both festive and chic, perfect for the holiday season and the cold winter months that follow… but don’t call it a Christmas Sweater! View More
GQ Style China’s Fall/Winter ’13 Issue features a Dynamic editorial by photographer Thomas Cooksey and stylist Luke Day. The hockey inspired shoot has the hottest pieces from designers Dolce & Gabbana, Moncler Gamme Bleu, Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci and a few others. Unfortunately you can’t see much of the other designers clothes due to the hockey protective gear that complements the story, but do we really need to see another editorial with Neil Barrett’s key sweatshirt this season? Me thinks not!
Models Matt Woodhouse, Edward Wilding, Tyler Maher and Pietro Boselli are all impeccably styled and it’s great to see a sexy photo shoot without any sex! See the complete editorial in GQ Style China magazine out on newsstands now.
It took the Swedish design duo three years to develop these stylish watches, which feature a hand-made Italian Mazzuchelli acetate casing, popular amongst watchmakers and designers for delivering an unprecedented depth of color.
The Minuteman comes in two different versions; one with a standard two-hand model with hour & minute display, and the second is a gas-meter style single hour hand that marks time in five-minute intervals. I prefer the one hand version in orange with a black nylon strap… which one’s your favorite? See all nine styles at www.squarestreet.se or visit their cool shop in Sheung Wan.
The multifaceted Marcelo Burlon is no stranger to the fashion world. Editor, stylist, photographer, publicist and deejay are just a few of the many things he does. He can name Riccardo Tisci amongst his friends and his client list have included Prada, Alexander McQueen and Maison Martin Margiela. Not surprisingly, when he launched his collection of T-shirts last spring it was an instant success!
County of Milan by Marcelo Burlon Fall/Winter 2013 collection includes T-shirts, sweaters, hoodies and iPhone covers with fabulous psychedelic and kaleidoscopic prints. There’s even a tumblr page dedicated to the people wearing County of Milan, check it out at peoplewearingcountyofmilan.tumblr.com
